Please, what's living in my yard?

    I have recently moved. I hope you won’t mind helping me figure out what’s growing out here.

    Photos 1&2 are from a bush maybe 5 feet tall.

    Photos 3,4&5 are from a tree about 12-15 feet tall. The tree has flowered much like a miniature magnolia, but its new growth looks nothing like the growth on our big magnolia in the backyard. Also, it has a cluster of trunks. (Picture a crape myrtle.) I am utterly confused. Please help!

    The first two are a deciduous azalea, I think. My experience is that they are usually smaller, but found references to them reaching 6 feet (2 m)

    There are a lot of different magnolias. I'm not an expert, but my guess would be to look under Subgenus Yulania, Section Yulania, Subsection Yulania on the following page and look to see if something looks similar. Harry

    Show the "magnolia" here later when it has more than twigs to go by. Or take a flowering specimen to a local independent nursery where they might have somebody that knows something.
