    Please identify this foliage plant.
Also, some of the leaves tend to completely dry up in patches at the edges while the rest of the leaf remains healthy. Would appreciate any advice to help prevent that.

Could be Spathyphyllum or Aglaeonema - what does the plant look like from the side? Has it ever flowered?

Thanks for your response. No, its never flowered. Any idea why it could be getting dry withered patches on the leaves?

Hmm. Might be a moisture problem---too much or too little. What is the soil like in the plant's pot? If it is old and compacted, moisture may not be able to get to the roots as it should.

Do you use water that contains chlorine, fluoride, etc? Sometimes plants sensitive to these chemicals react to them by developing browning leaf tips/edges.

How hot is the plant's environment? If it is getting full sun, that might be too much for it.

Generally speaking, if a plant is showing signs of distress, I run down the list I call 'The Usual Suspects': Light, too much or too little; Moisture, too much or too little; Temperature, too high or too low; Nutrients/Fertilizer, too much, too little, or not the right kind; and Bugs/Fungus/Mold. ---And, of course, there can be any and all combinations of more than one of these!
