I'm not sure if you can help with this plant as you are based in the US. I took this picture today 11th Aug 06, It grows a short hike from my home on the West coast of scotland, about 2 miles south east of Loch Lomond. The plant looks like a shrub, or could be multi branched tree, about 7 - 8 feet tall. It is growing on the edge of deciduous woodland and arable farmland in an over grown hedgrow, about 100 meteres above sea level. The small plums are about 1-1 1/2 cm in size. My mum thinks they could be Damsons but all the pics I have over here dont add up, Ive also looked at Greengages but they don't seem right either. hope you can help. Thanks Karen

It is true that this particular plum is rare over here (I never saw it until I went to UK).
