I have this volunteer plant in my garden along with a few squash plants from my organtic recycling from the past year. I don't know what it is. It has a purplish stock and purple and green leaves, and they are similar to maple (several pointed leaf and not sure how to describe the leaves).
    Thanks

Yep, Ricinus communis. WARNING: very poisonous. Don't mix it up with your vegetables!

Thanks so much for that info. I have not seen the plant before and won't try it for lunch for sure.

    Again thanks
    Chris
