There seems to be two varieties one is purple "some what black leaves" and the other is red "pale at first then turns red, normal color leaves." I have them out in full sun but they also like the part shade. To me they are extremely Ornamental and fun to have?

Sorry about the blurry pictures, the peppers in the pictures are not full grown.

The black ones remind me strongly of Capsicum baccatum 'Dragon's Teeth' - they're edible but they're extremely hot. The other is likely an ornamental cultivar of C. baccatum. I grow Dragon's Teeth to make hot sauce from, and I have to harvest them wearing gloves because of the heat of the oil they secrete.
