    Location:
    Calgary, Alberta
    Purplish coloured small leaves. Plant has thornes. Surviving in Calgary 2+ to 3 zone well. The plant at this time is about 1 meter tall.
    I am tempted to say common name Barberry.

    Looks like Berberis thunbergii 'Atropurpurea' (or a similar cv.)
