    Hello!

I signed up on these forums because I need help identifying a plant. A couple of months ago, this plant started growing in one of the pots that we were growing a chili plant in. It seemed like the seed (which was relatively large and black) had been planted in the pot by an animal, perhaps a chipmunk. We decided to keep this mystery plant alive and replanted in a separate pot.

The plant has a sturdy stem and is now about 2 feet tall. The leaves and the stem are fuzzy. The plant hasn't produced any flowers, but lately a big cluster of green "leaves" has been forming at the very top.

Does anybody know what type of plant this is? We are so curious to find out!
    Thanks in advance!

Looks like a sunflower about to bloom.

Wow that is good news! Sunflowers are cool plants :) Whatever animal planted that seed in the pot must have found it in a bird/squirrel feeder.
    Thank you Eric!
