I just inherited this plant - any help with an id would be greatly appreciated! Also it is obviously ailing - suggestions would be helpful! The brown spots are under the leaves and on the stem. I have tried various websites to try and identify it on my own with no luck so far, I am hoping someone can do better.
    Thanks!

Might be a Pepperomia, possibly P. incana.

Thanks! Any suggestions to help it? I believe it has leaf spot and have sprayed it with Safers 3 in 1 - it is indirect light and I am letting it dry out after watering it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I'd move it to direct North facing light.
Failing that East is usually OK for most plants.

It "appears" that it may need to repotted. A clean fresh pot, some healthy soil, removing any thing dead, a little time you'll probably be pleasantly surprised! When it's "warm enough" outdoors both day and night, I put most of my house plants on my deck covered for the summer. It can speed up it's recovery. FYI Before returning plants indoors carefuly check your plants and soil for insects and critters. My friend brought in a mole!

When I rescue a house plant this is what works for me.

I have no clue on it's identity...

    Good Luck,
    Jill
