    Stu--these are the larval stage of carpet beetles.

    Google on carpet beetle to see tips on managing these, good luck, I think they are quite a pain to get rid of.

    Thanks for a quick reply i have had a look on google and spotted them we were thinking it may have been moth larva. We found about 100 of them about 6 months ago and had not seen any till tonight when i found only 1.
