Please help with tree i.d.

    Can anybody help me out with the i.d. of this tree. The person whose yard it is in calls it a Japanese spice tree, but I think they are mistaken. Thanks in advance for your help. (sorry for the poor lighting on the full tree shot, I am an awful photographer)

    Not sure what this plant is but it is not Lindera Obtusiloba

    Leaf is the wrong shape for Lindera obtusiloba, see pics 1 and 2.
    However it does look like Lindera megaphylla. pic 3.It is evergreen
    The tree is just full of flower buds which should open next spring.
