Please help with this flower.

    Probably a Zingiberaceae (ginger family) plant of some sort. Possibly searching Google Images or similar resource by family name will actually bring same or similar one up, there are doubtless web sites of nurseries and others showing numerous different kinds of gingers and relations.

    I don't think it belongs to the ginger family.
    Too bad, I just moved back to Sydney and don't have my plant identification book with me. Here are more pics of this flower.

    wat an amazing flower... can it be grown in Toronto ??
    If yes, then i shud look for it in nursery near by once u ppl figure out the name =D
