We have large leafy bushes in our front yard that I would like to identify. The bushes are about 4-5' high and stay green all year. The leaves are tear drop shaped, ranging from 2-3" in length. They flower in mid summer. The flowers are small and white, and are pollinated by flies. The smell during pollination is like raw spoiled meat.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Don't know about the rest but the floral odor sounds like Eurya.
