I was doing my spring cleaning in my orphan bed this weekend and stumbled upon this 2.5' plant. I am not sure what it could be, as we only plant bulbs in this area. I pulled it up, because it was very close to my house and replanted in a container.
Thank you for the reply. I am looking at pictures of sumac, but I am not finding anything that is closely resembling it other than this, http://plants.usda.gov/java/profile?symbol=RHGL&photoID=rhgl_015_avp.jpg Even that looks to have a different texture.
Once the leaves open completely it will be easier to give an accurate answer. Please can you post more pics then.
shooting from the hip here. . .but the leaves look like a japanese maple I'm growing (red-tinged green) anyway it's probably not that but it might be worth looking into. . .I'm not sure the name of mine but I know it is a japanese maple and there aren't too many of those. . .probably won't help but great-o if it does. -lyn (sorry it took me so long to post this, I get too much on my plate sometimes and have a short memory)
