Please help with Identification

    I was doing my spring cleaning in my orphan bed this weekend and stumbled upon this 2.5' plant. I am not sure what it could be, as we only plant bulbs in this area. I pulled it up, because it was very close to my house and replanted in a container.

    Once the leaves open completely it will be easier to give an accurate answer. Please can you post more pics then.

    shooting from the hip here. . .but the leaves look like a japanese maple I'm growing (red-tinged green) anyway it's probably not that but it might be worth looking into. . .I'm not sure the name of mine but I know it is a japanese maple and there aren't too many of those. . .probably won't help but great-o if it does.
