Please help with 4 plant identities....

    Can anyone help me identify any of these four trees/shrubs/plants. The first two pictures are of the same thing (just a close of the leaf buds in pic #2).

    I know that the third picture is a type of ornamental grass..I just don't know what it's called. I'm trying to identify everything in my garden before the season gets much later...Thank you!

    Note: It works better to show photos of plants in more advanced state of development, with something more than new spring shoots to go by--like flowers, for instance

    you got me on the 4th one too.......looks like a herb of some decription....squish a leaf and see if it smells. (wear gloves if you have sensitive skin, just in case)
