Found this plant sprouting up and growing rapidly in many places on a disturbed site in Vancouver. The red circles are around what look like nut pods? growing at the forks in the stems. Thank you!!!

Thank you Silver Surfer and Tyrlych!!! Is this commonly found in Vancouver? or would this have been imported from somewhere else? Glad I'm still alive after having dug a small plant up to take home and plant in a pot in my yard.
