I have this plant. I have asked numerous people in the botany field what it is to no avail. If someone could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. I have had it now for over a year. I figure I am probab;y taking care of it correctly, but if I knew what it was, that would help me out a bit better. When I got this plant, there were 12 baby plants at the base of the bigger plant. These have since flourished and are turning into the big one. I would also like to know what this plant is so I can understand how it pollenates or reproduces itself as I have had the plants pop up several times since in other pots of different plants. I have included the full plant as well as close ups of its leaves and the cactus like part that comprises about a foot and a bit of the plant. Below the cactus like part is a wooden "trunk" that extends about 3 inches above soil and then down into the pot... The "trunk" part is quite long.. it would be pretty close to the length of the cactus part, it is just below the soil. Any help would be appreciated. The plant lady on CBC radio didn't know what this was, nor did a person at a specialty plant store or the staff at a science centre. I am soon going to give up (: Thank you. Irene
Do a search on these forums for Euphorbia leuconeura (the search button is on the upper green bar). I'm fairly certain that's what it is.
