hi! i rescued this plant from my local grocer's garden department at a clearance price. i have looked in a few plant books and online and cannot find any way to identify this guy. he needs a lot of love and i was wondering if anyone could ID the plant for me and give me any tips to nurse him back to health.

    any information is greatly appreciated!!!

    thank you!!

Not sure about this exact Dracenea but i remember my aunt saying that they had one they didnt want at one time and it was looking shoddy so they just threw it outside one summer and completely forgot about it. Later that year they went to throw it away and it apparently looked beautiful and they decided to keep it.
My mother also had one that survived well and looked great in low light for over 15 years before it outgrew the room and she finally moved it.
I wouldnt be suprised if yours looks great in no time. No worries. :)

thank you everyone, you have been a great help. i live in alaska and we have been having some pretty bright sunlight these past few days..so i have the plant in a semi-shaded area near my entertainment center, and my lace curtains are closed to filter the light a bit. i also gave it some bottled water instead of our tap water, which can be questionable at times ..lol.

    thanks again everyone!! :o)
