I recently moved into a home that has a huge yard that needs a lot of TLC. Pardon the pun but I am very 'green' when it comes to gardening. I am very happy to have found this site and know that this is where I will become educated! I have several things growing around the yard that I am unsure of. I don't even know the weeds from the plants. I hope I am not being too agressive by posting several pictures for identification. I have already tried matching them to the many pictures that I have searched. I would appreciate any help that the experts can offer. Thank you.

Pic 1 is either Prunus or Malus spp (ie a Plum, Cherry, or Apple) - could be just an ornamental one, or it could be a fruit-producer. Too early to tell, though, since the flower-buds haven't opened yet - but it's not a weed.

Saplings in 4 might also be Prunus or Malus.

No clue about the other two; they look vaguely familiar but I'm not even 50% sure so I'll let someone else pick them up - I haven't been around North American trees for some time now.

We'll be able to tell more specifically what all of them are once the leaves are full out, and #1 will be easier to ID when the flowers open.

And don't think that asking for multiple ID's in one thread is agressive - it's just good common sense as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks for the help ...now that I have broken the ice, I feel braver! Here are another couple of my mystery plants. I am quite certain that the first one is a weed because it is everywhere!!! Thanks again.

2 and 3 in the first set of photographs remind me of a honeysuckle, Lonicera.

Please post follow-up images on the plants as they develop through the year.
