This is a new plant to us, from Ikea yesterday with no tagging or ID at all. Can anyone id it so we know how to care for it?

    Thanks! DSC01397.jpg

    I think it's Beaucarnea recurvata.

It sure is a Beaucarnea recurvata. I wish I had one still. I had mine for 3 years and then when I moved, I must've watered it way too often in the new house... it rotted out. :( Good luck with yours!

I have some of them home and can any one tell me does it need too much light becasue I keep the shutters close becasue of the dust outside. Shall I keep these plants in or outside?

They grow outside in Florida: full sun, pretty intense, tropical. I know some people in colder climates grow them indoors, but they need a lot of light.
