Please help me identify!!

    Hello,

    I removed this "seed/seedling" from the stomach of a three-spined stickleback (fish) and am having difficulty identifying what it could be. I would greatly appreciate your help!

    I've sent an email to a colleague who is a paleobotanist -- he ought to know someone doing work with expertise in identifying aquatic seeds from pond sediment.
