Please help me identify this tree (N5)

    I know there is not that much left of this tree I am sorry to say. Does anyone know what it is from my less than ideal photos, which are about as good as I can get, as you can see the lowest live branches are about 20' of the ground, so if you can identify this tree without needing a close up of the foliage, which I cant, I would appreciate it, as getting any of the foliage is going to be tricky, its in a bramble thicket, and the live foliage is at the back, the downhill side on a steep bank.
