Hi, I recently moved and in my garden this summer came along these monsterous plants that grow about 8-9 feet tall have a very thick green stalk with a reddish purple stripe up it and on the underside of the broad leaves. The cone shaped flowery part is a deep fushia color, i hope the pic helps. Ill try and upload a few more pics later, this is an older pic, the plants are just monsterous now and the color is amazing =) By the way these were grown in southern ontario where i am currently living for a spell =)
One toppled over in a community garden nearby; each branch re-aligned to grow vertical to the ground and rooted. In other words, if you want more plants it is easy to propagate...
