Hello! I am new here, and happy to have found y'all. I would appreciate your help identifying the plant whose photo I have attached. I bought it at English Gardens Nursery near Detroit, and all they could tell me is that is in the 'Oriental Lantern' family. I researched Abutilon and could find nothing similar! I would like to know about sun preference, hardiness zones, possible invasiveness, and hopefully a NAME! Thanking you in advance, Benita
It looks like a type of Campanula punctata to me. Here's one to compare: http://home.hiroshima-u.ac.jp/shoyaku/photo/Japan/Kouchi/030524hotaru.jpg
Wow! Ask and you shall be informed! I've decided that this internet gizmo is a wonderful thing, as are the people I've met through it so far. This sure doesn't look like any other Campanula I have in my garden, and it isn't listed in my Perennial Encyclopedia. It is, however, exactly what I have in a pot on my garden table. So I am off to find out more about it, and I am sorta hoping that it IS invasive. It's lovely! Thanks again for your help, Benita
