    Hi everybody!
I found this maple seedling growing in our flower bed,so I carefully potted it up,I can't tell if it is a red, sugar, silver or black maple seedling.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Most likely Red Maple, but can't 100% rule out Silver Maple at this age. Not Sugar, Black, or Norway.

Already has the deeper leaf divisions of silver or Freeman maples.

Thanks for helping me out here,I'm thinking the seedling may be a bit too young to show more definate traits.

Would it be a good idea to give it fertilizer such as miracle grow,or should I hold off?

    Thanks again

Silver Maple seedlings are often considered to be undesirable weeds . . .
