Ok, I am stumped. This is a fruit in which I have no idea what it is. It is in my back yard. I hope that someone can help in identifing it. The tree is located in NorthWest Georgia it is between 15-25 feet tall. The skin on the fruit is thin and when ripe it is an orange color and mushy, it has sections like an orange though, but it is def not an orange type fruit. I have included pictures of the ripe one, the tree bark, the leaves and fruit on the tree and a cross section of an unripe one. Thanks in advance.

Asian persimmon (D. kaki) is also so-called. It and D. virginiana are the two principal species in North American cultivation.
