I grew this plant from a packet of wildflower seeds that I bought in Canada. The packet indicated that the seeds were from Ontario. I am therefore assuming that it is a wildflower from Canada. I may be wrong here.

I had germinated the plant indoors before transfering it to the flower pouch. It is a vigorous plant. It puts out spectacular flowers. The plants are currently growing in a flower pouch outside my apartment in Borneo. The plants can grow to about 6 feet. I have now about 12 plants in my flower pouch, all grown from the seeds of the first plant.

Please help me identify this plant. I have attached a picture of the plant with this posting. Thank you.

    Got it.

Thanks, Paul. It is an Amaranthus caudatus. I could not find under acalypha. Someone else also put up a similar posting.

I think you will find this is Dicentra Spectabilis.

Sorry Plantmania, but it is not Dicentra spectabilis, also known commonly as the bleeding heart.

Yes, it really is a very nice example of an Amaranthus caudatus

I guess I had a senior moment here... my memory for plants is obviously not what it was!
