Please help me Identify...probably a very easy one!

Hello,

I am completely new to gardening and have moved into a house that needs much work in the garden. I live in Vancouver, BC.

I have come across this plant and I am not too sure what this is. Is it a weed? or a plant? It does not grow too high, rather it likes to spread. It also releases a scent when you brush by it.
