I bought this plant about a year ago at Home Depot. I repotted it about a week ago and it has been drooping ever since. I don't know what kind of plant it is or how to bring it back to life. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi, have you ever tried to remove the stake and let the leaves down, as in a basket? They may then strengthen and grow a least semi-upright on their own. As it is, it does look kind of pathetic all tied up like that, and definitely unnatural. One normally would do that for a philodendron, for instance, but yours almost looks like a type of ficus that shouldn't be tied up.

I hadn't thought of letting the leaves hang. When I bought the plant, the stems were only about 6" tall or so and they stood upright. As they got taller they started to hang and I just staked them. The new growth began appearing and so I then repotted and restaked everyhting. The day after repotting, the leaves became droopy.

I believe this is a Tradescantia species and is supposed to hang over the side of the pot.
