hi, i'm brand new to the forums, and to plant keeping in general. i received this plant as a gift a few days ago. i have no idea what it is. the pink flower is pointy and sharp, especially toward the center. the leaves are thick, with a white filmy-looking covering on parts. you can see it's leaning one way in the pot. i think it might just be topheavy and need to be repotted. again, i'm not sure. if anyone knows what this is, PLEASE help me out. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v629/melonhead420/plant ID/ i have a really hard time keeping plants, as my apt gets no direct sunlight. any care info or advice on this plant would be greatly appreciated! if it needs sun, i'd like give it away before i kill it. thanks! peace. LP (thanks daniel! the link works now!)
Looks like a Sansevieria of some kind. That's the family of the snake plant. See if you can find it here: http://www.theamateursdigest.com/sansevs.htm
