    Hi There,

Several months ago, a little plant started growing amidst my nursery plants... I thought it was a tomato plant, but, as it started to grow larger, I began to think, perhaps... it wasn't a tomato plant after all.

Would someone possibly be able to help me ID this plant? Picture is attached.

    Thanks.

    Hi again,
Well actually Chenopodium album is usually considered as a weed. It is an annual and is also edible. You can cook it like spinach. I think a seed simply managed to reach your tomato pot and germinate there.

Many thanks Jerebox. Now I can stop allocating a whole pot for the weed!

    :)

Yep, definitely a Chenopodium album or Lamb's Quarters as I grew up knowing it. If you get enough of them and boil them up like Spinach they are actually pretty tasty.
