Hi There, Several months ago, a little plant started growing amidst my nursery plants... I thought it was a tomato plant, but, as it started to grow larger, I began to think, perhaps... it wasn't a tomato plant after all. Would someone possibly be able to help me ID this plant? Picture is attached. Thanks.
Thanks for the reply.. that was real quick... em... It's my first time growing stuff, actually.... what's a Chenopodium album? Is it a weed? Plant? Tree? What is it for? Any idea how did it got into my tomato pot?? Thanks!
Hi again, Well actually Chenopodium album is usually considered as a weed. It is an annual and is also edible. You can cook it like spinach. I think a seed simply managed to reach your tomato pot and germinate there.
Yep, definitely a Chenopodium album or Lamb's Quarters as I grew up knowing it. If you get enough of them and boil them up like Spinach they are actually pretty tasty.
