No, I do not think it is a flindersia. The tree is conical in shape.

Polyalthia longifolia. Yes, it a native Indian tree though widely planted throughout tropical Asia. In India they call it Mast Tree or Ashok, though Ashok (variant spellings Asoka, Ashoka) is primarily the name of the unrelated Saraca indica.

I have seen it mainly as a narrowly columnar tree and have always wondered whether that is a horticultural selection, or just the normal shape of younger trees of the species.

Thank you TonyR! I have searching for the name of this plant for so long. here in the Philippines, this tree is always decorated as a xmas tree because of its conical shape. It could really grow as tall but during typhoons, these trees suffer so mostly, these were cut to prevent accident. attached picture of my tree.
    Thanks again!

Do you by chance know the name of the yellow plant/vine
below the tree? It resembles Galphimia but I'm guessing it's
    something else.
    Regards

Yeah, nandan is right. I call it my yellow vine, so invasive and a vigourous plant. It gives so much flowers after pruning and needs little attention once the plant is established. Bees are common visitors of this plant. Propagation is thru stem cutting. A picture of my yellow vine in full bloom.

The latter is a deciduous tree resembling Ailanthus in general appearance. New growth is often bright pink.

hi alex66 and ron B! TonyR already identified the tree as polyalthia longifolia. The branches of this tree grow downwards that gives this tree the conical shape.

    Anyway, thanks.
