    Hello,

So happy to have found your forum, as I am looking to identify this tree that is located on our newly purchased property.

Can anyone let us know what this may be?

    Thanks very much!!!

It looks like one of the many trees that are collectively called "flowering cherries". Which, I can't tell you, but if you google that there should be tones, and tones of info... they are very popular. I'm sure you can see why!

Looks like Prunus tomentosa. How tall is it? Is it really a tree, say more than 4m tall, or actually a bush? P. tomentosa is a shrub.

    Thanks for your replies,

It stands about 12' high, and it seems to have many 2"-4" (at the base) branches starting from the ground up. I'm guessing this would be a bush? Sorry, the tree/bush is located behind a shed and it is almost impossible to see back there.
    hope this helps!
