please help identify this shrub :)

    This plant has been here since I came to this house in 87'. My brother is looking for a good plant to make a hedge out of and was wondering what the name of it is so to look up more about it. I have uploaded 4 pics below...it looks like it is in its seed stage. In the pic from far away it is the very tall shrub...it is maybe 10ft tall. Thanks for the help :)
