My wife and I are relative newcomers to a 100 year old house and garden. We've done a lot of work to our garden, but we are still relative novices. So, please forgive me if this is something obvious. The plant is the picture rapidly grew to about 6' in height in late spring. It had white flowers, and later purple berries. Any help would be appreciated!
Pokeweed, Inkberry, Phytolacca americana --Phytolaccaceae Have eaten it a few times. You have to boil it twice! I found this article... http://waynesword.palomar.edu/ecoph24.htm
