Unfortunately I don't have a picture (tasty morsels all got eaten before camera could be unearthed) but I would like some help identifying said tasty morsel.

It's a small plum that essentially looks like a nectarine in color. Very sweet, round, slightly soft, yellow flesh with yellow and red skin (like nectarine). I don't even know if it's Japanese or European.

Someone on the Sunshine Coast is growing it with success but doesn't know what it's called either.

    Any ideas?

Maybe it's a cherry plum (Prunus cerasifera).
