Identification: Please help identify plant

    My boyfriend and I are trying to figure out what this plant is. He bought it a few years ago at a Target store. We are wondering if it is poisonous to cats. Thanks much!

    i don't know what it is.

    i can see, from the way it's growing that it needs more light than it's getting. otherwise, it looks nice and healthy so whatever you're doing with water & soil is working!

    nice leaves! i'll be watching for replies with the id!

    I think it has a red and white flower, but I can't remember off the top of my head, sorry.

    Oh shoot. That's a South American native, but I can't remember what it's called. Ed's right, the flowers are red and white.

    Looks like a Clerodendron Vine to me possibly Clerodendron thomsoniae.

    The common name over here is Bleeding Heart Vine

    awesome. thanks so much you guys. i don't think this plant has ever flowered tho. i wonder if it's because it doesn't get enough sun? i know NOTHING about plants. :)

    More sun! More sun! Cleos like it bright - do you have a South window you could put it in? Michigan's still too cold to put out your plants, isn't it? If not, a holiday for it in the garden wouldn't hurt it any.
