2. Possibly Leucanthemum x superbum Aglaia., or other similar. May be a Chrysanthemum... very difficult to be sure from a pic! http://images.google.com/imgres?img...n-gb:IE-SearchBox&rlz=1I7SUNA_en-GB&sa=G&um=1
Jocelyn - Qween Anns lace has more of an umbrell shaped flower and are on a single tall stem at least the ones around here. Timbird - Are these all wild Flowers? barb
I've done a a search and there are images that look quite close to this that are named as queen annes lace so perhaps the shape can change depending on region etc
You Know timbird - you are probably right. It help when one puts her glasses on! ;)) When I look closely the are umbrell shaped where they looked like balls of flowers before. I guess it's that multi branching, bushy look that threw me. mea culpa barb
Doesn't Queen Anne's Lace typically have a tiny brown center in the flower? Also, I've never seen QAL cluster in quite that manner and the flowers look awfully small compared to the QAL I am familiar with. That third plant looks a lot like cowbane (or hemlock) to me (Cicuta maculata, perhaps), particularly in the spread of the stem. If I remember correctly, Angelica has a woody stem whereas the one presented here appears green to me. Attached is a picture of hemlock from the Wikipedia entry.
