Please help id tree in backyard!

    the bud is very similar but the leaves and stem are different... not to mention that looks like it's more of a bush/ shrubbery plant. this is an actual tree. i think someone mentioned a type of oak or olive? still no clue. but thanks for the response!

    The foliage and stems are very like Myoporum laetum but the way the flower buds are clustered at the stem tips is wrong. That's no help, I know, but maybe it narrows the field.
