She says they are horrible ugly, but I think they are exotic. Any idea what they are? Is this a Kalanchoe daigremontiana or a Bryophyllum crenatodaigremontianum? Close but not quite I think. That is the first two pictures. The last three pictures are the other tree like one. Shoots a single spire about 3-4 ft long than gets a single leave on the end. New leaves sprout from the edges of the one single leave and so on.. Thanks for the help!
I think you are probably right about the first plant. The leaves do vary on K. daigremontiana. If it starts making babies on the leaf margins, you will know for sure.
Yes, gooseneck cactus, surely one of the most frequently asked about house plants on gardening chat sites.
Sure goes by alot of different names. The wife still wants it to go, but it will be around for a while!!!
I agree that the last 3 photos look like Epiphyllum oxypetalum. It does get to be a monster but it is worth hanging on to it for the spectacular flowers.
Neither of us have. It came with the house and the owner mentioned something about it being almost dead and her saving it, so it may be a few years before it will bloom.
I read they like being pot bound so my plan is to leave it in it's current pot, but put that pot in a larger one and fill that with stone to hold it down. It likes to tip over if you look at it funny. :)
