Plants under a white pine

    Two of these plants have arrived under one of our white pines in Ottawa, Ontario.
    Can anyone identify, please.

    Looks like genus Rubus (Raspberries). I don't have a handbook though, to determine the species.

    R. idaeus spreads by underground runners.

    I thought they might be raspberries, but somehow they didn't look quite right.
