Plants in a Toronto Garden

Hello, here are some plants I'm trying to identify in my Toronto backyard garden:

1. In my strawberry patch, there are some new guys popping up that like dandelion. I'd like to eat them, but just want to be sure. 3 images attached to forum post.

2. Plants that my neighbours planted this spring and I only have a slight idea what they are. 4 images attached to forum post.

 

series 1 - looks like real dandelion.

series 2:
1 - beet
2 - some sort of cabbage
3 - ?
4 - cabbage

 

2.Kale
3.Basil

 

To me looks like:

1 beets
2 kale
3 basil in flower, I think
4 cabbage or a different kale
