Hi, my second thread is about Plants in Heilongjiang which located deeply in the far east region. The climats is typically temperate where the temperature can drop to -30 Celsius degree in winter and the summer is short and cool. Plants most commonly seen in the wild are of Rosaceae(Rosa davurica Pall.,Sorbus alnifolia (Sieb.et Zucc.)K.Koch etc.),Liliaceae(Gagea, Veratrum,Allium),Tiliaceae(Tilia),Fagaceae(Quercus mongolica Fisch.ex Ledeb.),Rutaceae(Phellodendron amurense ),and Ranunculaceae. The photos are all taken at Maershan or Jingpo Lake by myself , and the scientific name will be given later. Hope you will enjoy the wild beauties from this remote region and can visit there some day. :) Let's start here and scan the plants...
First post, picture 2388, is a wild rose, Rosa acicularis. Second post, picture 5598, is yarrow, Achilleum spp. Second post, picture 5658, is toadflax or a relative, Linaria spp. Second post, picture 2110, is a maple, Acer spp. We have maple specialists here, and they will probably know which one. Second post, picture 2147, is a wild asiatic-type lily. Second post, picture 2154, is a Solanum of some sort; reminds me of wild potatoes, but the genus is very very big. Third post, sixth picture, is Lily of the Valley, Convallaria majalis Third post, seventh pictures, is Potentilla Third post, last picture, is a Scotch thistle, Onopordum acanthium Fourth post, picture 7276, is a wild Strawberry, Fragaria vesca Fourth post, picture 7283, is a Poppy. Fourth post, picture 7300, is a Euphorb of some sort. Fourth post, picture 8470, reminds me of Wintergreen, but don't quote me on that. Just a word of advice for next time you do this - each of your posts should be a separate thread. It makes it easier for us to ID things without getting overwhelmed.

Wow, I didn't hope that I got the Names so quickly, It's vey Kind of you and I appreciate it a lot.Thank you very much.:) You know thera are firmly relationships between the plants of North America and Eastern Asia, What I want to know is How many of them can you see in Canada or the United States, If you get the answer, Please let me know. I'd be appreciated. Thank you.
A great many, actually, and you also share some biodiversity with the equator (I'm in South America, Ecuador to be precise, and I see some of the same plants in our grasslands.)
Wow! Great pics and plants! Thanks! :) It's always very interesting (for me) to see a bit of the evolution, the vicariant/or closely related species... for example: Trollius japonicus - we have here T. europaeus; Sanicula chinensis - S. europaea... etc.
