Latrobe University has an excellent reputation from what I read so I know I should not dare question the result of the study conducted there that found plants suffer to varying degrees from being touched. Until hearing more detail, I am skeptical. What about plants whose own leaves and branches touch each other? Plants that never experience touch, like cacti, would seem to be more the exception than the norm. So - are most plants compromised?
