My turn to ask a question... I'm wondering if anyone can point me to some literature on the cause and effect relationship (if one exists) between the diversity of plants in urban landscapes (e.g. parks or university campuses) and the cultivation of a diversity of ideas. Any associated literature on biodiversity (not limited to plants) or structural diversity (e.g., forest composition or architecture) and ideas would also be helpful. If I'm not clear on what I mean, I'd be happy to attempt to clarify. I'd do the search myself, but I don't think I have an adequate grasp of what I'm assuming will be some specialized terminology.
