Laura, If the area gets full sun I would try planting the blueberries in raised bed - perhaps a cedar box about 8 to 12 inches deep. I have blueberries all over the place but the ones that compete with the roots of other plants don't do as well. I think that would be your main problem. Personally, I would try it and if they are unproductive after a couple of years - move them.
