In a pot or in the ground? I don't think you can grow apples in the Philippines. It's too warm.

Of course apples grow in the Philippines, as well as Indonesia and Thailand. Give it a shot.

You'll want to use a seed from an apple that's been refrigerated for at least three months (Pink Lady works especially well if you can get them).

Put the seeds in a folded damp paper towel sealed in a zip-lock baggie. Check it daily, and when it sprouts, transfer it to a pot of plain dirt. Let it grow for a year, then graft your desired variety onto it and transplant it to the ground. It's just as easy to do a bunch of them as one, so try a lot of them.

This of course will make a big tree. If you do not graft a cultivated variety onto it, you will get a seedling apple, most likely a sour dud as apples do not reproduce true to seed.
