I was walking along a bike trail in Reading Pa. and came across this plant I had never seen before. It stuck out because it was the only species of its kind in the area. I know nothing on how to categorize a plant into its scientific category. Please help?!

Thank you both so much! I did more research and found that it was introduced to America and Australia. It is native to China, Europe, and Africa. It is a plant. Thanks again.
