I have noticed that a wildflower mix from Van Deusen,that I planted around a boulevard tree contains thistles, the four foot variety. I am thinking that they might make an interesting open screen along the front yard fence. I don't think the ornamentals (these tall guys) are invasive so do I gather seeds - and when do I plant - or do I wait until after they flower and divide???
