    Hello all-knowing gardeners,

I hope I am posting this in the right section- please let me know if I should post it somewhere else as well.

I am designing a family crest. As we are a family that stretches along the coast, I'm looking for a plant that is native to BC, Washington, Oregon and California. Ideally, one that is already three-leaved or three petaled would be ideal. I'll be making it into a trefoil design, like this one:

If it already a trefoil plant, that would be perfect.

Any suggestions you can make would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!

Thank you so much, Michael! That's beautiful, and exactly the right shape.

If anyone else has any other suggestions, please feel free. If not, I'll be going with the Calochortus macrocarpus Douglas - sagebrush mariposa lily. Quite the name, too.

    Thank you again.

One of the various Trillium species is another obvious possibility.
