I saw a few of these yellow flowered plants in my sister's back yard in the Gibson's area, in SW British Columbia. I haven't seen that particular plant before. Is anyone familiar with what they may be? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Don
This is a Physallis, or Ground Cherry, one of many domesticated or weedy species. I have very similar plants blooming in my garden, presumably from Ground Cherries that I planted more than 20 years ago. Their offspring have been coming up ever since, though I have never planted them again. However, they are also similar to Tomatillos, another Physallis that I have been growing recently.
